For almost a decade, the Atlanta Institute of Tantra has been a sanctuary for those seeking to reclaim this embodied wisdom. Today, we invite you to join us on the next phase of this transformative journey.

On January 1, 2025, we embrace a new name that reflects both our roots and our expanding vision: The Amina Institute. This evolution honors a tradition too often forgotten in our modern world – the practice of anchoring institutions in the names and legacies of their founders. In choosing this path, we reclaim a piece of Black historical tradition while deepening our commitment to embodied trust and faithful presence in the work of somatic healing.

The name Amina carries within it centuries of meaning that transcends simple translation. Like the work we do, it speaks to something fundamentally human: the capacity to trust, to remain faithful, to stand steadfast in service of transformation. As we expand our reach from our established homes in the United States and Panama toward new horizons in South America, Asia, and Europe, this name will serve as both our foundation and our compass.

Our evolution extends beyond our name. We are focusing our offerings into five signature professional certifications, two training courses, and a mentorship program -- each carefully crafted to deepen our global impact in training a diverse community of somatic sexologists and bodyworkers. This streamlined approach reflects our commitment to decolonization and our vision of creating a network of practitioners that is reflective of the global majority, trained and practiced in these vital healing modalities.

Authentic Consent Certification™

This course is taught as a 6-week online course with weekly zoom meetings, from 5pm until 7:30pm every Sunday from January 5 to February 9, 2025. In addition to the live zoom classes, you are invited to join in on any of the series of coaching calls and practice sessions* offered for up to one year after completion. Prerequisite: NONE

Authentic Consent explores the complexities of consent in erotic play and spaces, including navigating power dynamics, exploring different desires, and creating a culture of consent.This trauma-informed training is a comprehensive program designed to deepen your understanding and practice of consent in all areas of life. It goes beyond a simple "yes" or "no" to explore the nuances of embodied consent, communication, and boundary setting. The training, which is a prerequisite for Somatic Sexology Certification, teaches you how to develop a deeper connection to your body and its signals to better understand your own boundaries and desires. It also provides framework for learning how to clearly and effectively communicate your needs and desires, as well as actively listen to those of others and the tools needed to set and maintain healthy boundaries in all relationships, both personal and professional.

EroSomatic Touch® Certification

This course is taught as a 6-session LIVE online training that includes a library of resources to help you learn and implement the practice. In addition to the live zoom classes, you are also required to complete 20 on-demand self-study modules and upon completion of all the training requirements, you are invited to join a 4-day, in person, hands-on training. Prerequisite: Authentic Consent 

The Erosomatic Touch® certification is the first step of three on the path to becoming a Certified Somatic Sexologist. The program offers comprehensive training in body-centered therapeutic techniques, teaching practitioners to work with both the physical and energetic body. Practitioners learn to integrate mindful touch, energetic awareness and somatic principles with nervous system regulation. This trauma-informed practices emphasizes both technical skills and practitioner development.

Somatic Sexologist Certification

This training is a two-part training and is available both as an online training or as a 10-day in person intensive (in Panamá). The online training includes four mandatory day-long LIVE trainings offered throughout the year on ZOOM. Prerequisite: EroSomatic Touch®

Drawing from somatic psychology, sexology, and body based research, practitioners receive advanced training in evidence-based techniques & traditional wisdom for a comprehensive approach to somatic healing. In two 18-module sessions, you will first complete the first ever comprehensive sex doula training available in the world and then move on to a somatic sex coach training. Upon completion, you will be able to submit your credentials to receive the designation Certified Sexologist and Somatic Sexologist. 

Sacred Intimate Training 

This training is offered as an 8-week LIVE course with online support. The online training is held on Wednesdays starting February 5th at 7pm EST on ZOOM. Prerequisite: NONE

Participants will explore everything from the foundational principles of being a sacred intimate to advanced concepts in erotic play, pleasure exploration, communication and desire. Our supportive, inclusive environment ensures a safe space for learning, growth and ultimately a successful private practice. Due to the intimate nature of the training, space is limited to 12 participants.

CuddleSage®: Professional Cuddler Certification

This training is offered in two different formats: as weekend, in-person training in Washington DC or as an 8-week LIVE course with online support, The online training is held on Sundays starting March 2nd at 11am EST on ZOOM. Prerequisite: Authentic Consent

This training offers a unique and transformative approach to platonic touch and intimacy. This program guides practitioners into the art of providing non-sexual, nurturing touch that fosters deep connection and calm the nervous system. Learn how to establish clear boundaries, communicate effectively, and cultivate a safe and nurturing environment for both giver and receiver.

Kinky Kinesiology™

This training is offered as a series of eight online, study-at-your-own-pace modules. Prerequisite: NONE

This comprehensive course explores the intersection of movement science and somatic awareness, designed for bodyworkers, sex educators, and erotic wellness professionals seeking to expand their understanding of pleasure-oriented movement patterns. Through evidence-based kinesiology principles and somatic exploration, participants will develop a deeper understanding of how various movement patterns affect sensation, nervous system regulation, and embodied pleasure.

Erotic Embodiment 101™

This training is a six-part online series is designed to prepare you for being in communities of pleasure and learning erotic healing modalities. This is a study-at-your-own pace training with easily implementable daily practices to guide you back home to your body. Founding Members receive the Erotic Embodiment 101 course free, including a resource guide and access to our online community. Prerequisite: None

Erotic Embodiment 101 series reclaims the wisdom of our ancestors, who understood the inseparable connection between mind, body, and spirit. In this series, we'll explore embodiment through a decolonial lens, dismantling the harmful narratives that have separated us from our bodies and our innate capacity for pleasure, because “if you can’t feel yourself, it’s hard to know what you want.”

Six-Figure Sexologist®: Mentorship Program

This mentorship program is a six-month investment, with weekly check-ins to keep you on track, clear milestones to measure your progress, and an online community for ongoing learning and connection.

A mastermind program designed to help you elevate your business to six figures in just six months.
