BECOME A HEALING GUIDE
Return Home To Our Bodies
Embodiment is an understanding established with the body. It is an act of listening, instead of doing. It is a reminder that you are either being or thinking about being, so that you can create space for your own human experience.
This 3-part training is designed to create a network of advanced healing in our community, connecting with ourselves in ways our ancestors knew how, so that we can experience life in the present moment.
Erotic Embodiment is an ancient technology, a series of carefully curated mindfulness exercises that establishes a deeper understanding of the concept of “self” and increases our capacity for pleasure.
“The erotic is a measure between the beginnings of our sense of self and the chaos of our strongest feelings. It is an internal sense of satisfaction to which, once we have experienced it, we know we can aspire.” —Audre Lorde
an irrational fear of or aversion to the body and expressions of the body, particularly sensuality and more often than not femininity and/or femme body expression. It is this fear that keeps us from experiencing our own bodies, shamefully navigating how to make ourselves available for consumption and not be fully consumed.
In Awakening the Body, somatophobia is described as the fear and hatred toward the experience of the body as a unified field of shimmering tactile sensations.
Join me as we explore the many messages in the sensory experiencing of the body! Become a transformative guide, sharing your erotic embodiment practices with our community. This course series is broken up into three easy to attend weekend modules. At the completion of each one you have more tools in your bag to increase access to the healing readily available in the body for your lovers, clients, students and friends.
"The body carries the mind, not the other way around." - Amina Peterson
Intro to Erotic Embodiment. Here we begin to live in, witness and heal our own bodies. Learn and move through practical embodiment applications so that you feel prepared to hold space for clients and community, at a basic level.
We also explore how the body processes the sensations of touch and vision in the erotic.
Here we move beyond the basics, learning to open the mind and body to the sensations we are able to experience and to accept that sensory experience as it allows us to be present for our own bodies, our own aliveness.
We also explore how the body processes the sensations of smell and taste in the erotic.
At this level we move deeply into and beyond the body, forming a sacred dance with love, therapy, sensuality, eroticism, ego and pain, working through the body, not just on it, to reinform us of who we were before trauma.
Finally, we explore how the body processes the sensations of sound and truth in the erotic.
"Learning to be in pleasure is a process, a skill to be practiced. This takes time, and the shape of the work will depend on the barriers that people face." - Meredith Reynolds
